This is a painting I did recently for my College art class.

IMPORTANT: I used a photo called 'AirshiP' that this talented photomanipulator named cunune took as a reference (I asked permission). :iconcunune: [Link to Original] <<- I want her goggles

This took quite a long time, but it was very fun .

The assignment was that we had to find a subject, (I chose cunune's photo, AirshiP) and paint it onto a 3 ft x 3 ft board (it's very big ). But we couldn't just paint it... We had to divide it into three parts each a monochromatic color painting, and each a different color.

Two of the three colors had to be complimentary colors and had to be next to each other so that they would "react". The third color could be any color we chose, but we were told to choose carefully. To choose a color that would enhance the look.

I chose green and red as my complimentary colors, and I chose blue as my third color. Then I chose to put red sandwiched between the two so that it would stand out.

(Oh, and the reason for the funny border was that when I took the picture of it, it was tilted, and the none tilted one had funny lighting so I chose this one and added this funny border)

I got 13.5/15 ^_^
